Argentine Tango – Intermediate Level

4015 Fraser Street, Vancouver BC (La Tangueria Esposito)

Tango Classes with Clarry & ElizabethThe goal of these classes is to provide a progressive, technically structured series of lessons by which to improve your overall dance and confidence to make your experience on the dance floor far more enjoyable and fun. We will be concentrating on balance, weight shift and axis and also give you some neat moves for the social dance floor. As well we will provide you with some exercises for followers and leaders to take home with you to work into your muscle memory and will enable you to control your dance whether you are follower or leader. As always, we will also be working on musicality. Much of what we will be doing in this program will be in close embrace. (** please see below)

Important: These classes are for intermediate level or above. Please make an honest assessment of your level and capabilities. The material requires good knowledge of the basics as well as 2 – 3 years tango experience on the dance floor.

**Tango is a diverse and creative dance. The style of close embrace we teach is the so called Villa Urquiza style (as used extensively in the most milongas around the world) as opposed to the apilado (so called milonguero) style.  It is not for me to say that one is better or worse than the other. It is a matter of personal choice and capability. The overriding factor is that one dances socially and courteously with their fellow tangueros.
